Kylie Jenner has officially lost her title for the most-liked picture on Instagram to an egg.
It was on January 4th that a brown speckled egg with nothing to lose took on the challenge of beating out the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters, finally reaching its goal on Sunday (January 13th) with over 21 million likes, in comparison to the measly 18 million and counting figure that sits under a photo of baby Stormi holding her mother’s thumb, the photograph of choice that would introduce the world to Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner’s firstborn.
The Instagram account, world_record_egg has gone one to be the root of many copycat accounts like world_record_chicken that are all vying for the top spot.
Kylie has since fired back with a clip of herself frying an egg on hot asphalt, writing “Take that little egg.”
Just in case social media hasn’t completely given you your fill for the weekend, this should just about do it.
Previous record holders for most-liked pictures on the Instagram app include Beyonce, who did what she does best when she broke the internet with her pregnancy announcement in February of 2017, dethroning then-record-holder Selena Gomez’s Coca-Cola ad photo.
