Burna Boy thanks fans after Soundcity awards wins

Popular Nigerian musician, Burna Boy, has reacted to his latest feat at the Soundcity MVP Awards on Saturday, January 5. The singer swept four awards at the event including the highly coveted African Artist of the Year defeating the likes of Davido and Wizkid who were also in the category.

Davido and Wizkid got one award each while Burna Boy won Listeners Choice, Artist of the Year, Best Male MVP and Song of the Year.

The awards took place at the Eko Convention Centre of Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Burnaboy, reacting to the awards wrote on his Instagram page: “Awards! Humbled and Honoured!! Thank you Soundcity for the constant support!

“All my fans for always having my back! Shouts to thenamix and Peedipicasso for showing up on my behalf.

“Many more in 2019, it’s been a hell of a year.”

The awards was graced with performances from A-list artists.
