Cristiano Ronaldo news: Man Utd take aim with indirect dig as sacking process begins 5

The 37-year-old has been the centre of attention following the release of his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan this week, with his Man Utd career set to reach a nasty end

Manchester United were planning on enjoying their month-long break throughout the World Cup as plans were made to step up preparations for their Premier League comeback in December.

But Cristiano Ronaldo has all but ruined that after, once again, deciding to take the spotlight away from the club and his teammates via the release of his bombshell interview. In the days and hours since, the Red Devils have released an official club statement as they plan the immediate sacking process of the 37-year-old as a result of his actions.

Man Utd make indirect Ronaldo attack

Following the release of Ronaldo’s bombshell interview with Piers Morgan this week, Man United have responded with an article on Erik ten Hag that takes a huge indirect swipe at the 37-year-old.

The Portuguese international has made some harrowing comments on his relationship with his Dutch manager, yet the Red Devils have since published an article that makes their allegiance clear as they back the efforts of Ten Hag.

The article, which details the rise of their recent player of the month Alejandro Garnacho, includes “Erik’s blueprint is evident” in its title, with Ten Hag being praised for having “a reputation as a manager who trusted youth”, while his side “retains a great balance”.
