Feds Seize Over $700K Worth of Cocaine at Texas/Mexico Border

According to reports, federal officials seized over $700,000 worth of cocaine at the Texas-Mexico border.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Hidalgo International Bridge seized $715,000 worth of cocaine on March 29, 2022. “Our CBP officers remain vigilant and rely on their experience and all available tools and resources to thwart this smuggling attempt,” said Port Director Carlos Rodriguez, Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas Port of Entry.

The bust was made after CBP officers flagged a white Chevy van entering the country from Mexico. Authorities searched the vehicle utilizing non-intrusive inspection equipment and discovered 37 packages of alleged cocaine weighing 92.72 pounds (42.06 kg) concealed within the vehicle.
