Hip Hop Week In Review: Omarion Cuts B2K From Tour & Griselda Drops Shady Records Debut

This week in Hip Hop, Omarion announced the next Millennium Tour for 2020 and did so without B2K on the bill following drama with Lil Fizz.
Also, Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher and Daringer released their Shady Records debut WWCD as a collective. Lastly, All Money In’s BH called out The Game once again for constantly using Nipsey Hussle’s name for promotion.
Omarion Announces Millenium Tour Without B2K
While Omarion’s baby mother Apryl Jones and his B2K bandmate Lil Fizz frolic all over social media in love, the “Ice Box” singer announced the second installment of The Millennium Tour without B2K on Fizz’s 33rd birthday.
Nevertheless, J Boog essentially blames 99.9 precent of the group’s problems on Fizz and has no problems with Omarion.
The Millennium Tour will be headlined by Omarion and Bow Wow in 2020.
Pretty Ricky, Ying Yang Twins, Lloyd, Sammie and Soulja Boy are also named as performers for the tour. Dates and cities for the trek are set to be announced on Monday (December 2) with tickets to go on sale on Thursday (December 5).

Griselda Records Drops Shady Records Debut
Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher and Daringer are the new wave of rap stars out of Buffalo. After grinding on the independent scene for years, their crew released their debut collaborative project WWCD on Shady Records.
Eminem, Raekwon, 50 Cent and Keisha Plum are among those who make an appearance on the LP.

BH Calls Out The Game For Using Nipsey Hussle’s Name For Clout
Since Nipsey Hussle’s death, The Game has been using his name in a lot of his Instagram posts as a way to pay tribute. Game even launched a new imprint titled Prolific Records, christened after the “prolific” tattoo prominently inked on the right side Nip’s face all while promoting Born 2 Rap, which will supposedly be Game’s last album.
BH, an artist signed to Nipsey’s label All Money In, is tired of Game exploiting the late MC’s name and recently called him out on the No Jumper Podcast.
“Nip respected Game for taking him on his first tour,” BH a.k.a. Hoggy said. “That’s cool and all Game, but all this clout. Like, you posting the homie everyday? Don’t you got dead homies? Go post them. You posting the homie? I don’t even want to see this.”

Westside Gunn Talks HOG Wrestling & Master P Being The ‘Black Vince McMahon’
Griselda’s Westside Gunn is both business savvy and cold on the mic. One needs to look no further than the partnership between House of Glory Wrestling with his wrestling merch brand Fourth Rope.
“Fourth Rope is the designer of all merch for HOG…I was already over there watching the matches and just building with Brian XL,” he told HipHopDX. “We formed a relationship. He could see my loyalty and I just said, ‘Man, let’s take this shit to another level.’ I wanted to invest in that shit. We did what we did.”

‘Pop Out’ Rapper Polo G Is Already Adding To Chicago’s Legacy Of Hip Hop Heroes
Polo G recently launched an AAU team for the kids in his hometown of North Chicago. Speaking with DX about his impact among other Chicago rappers, the “Pop Out” creator shares why he hopes his music touches the listener.
“With my music and being so intentional with it, I feel like a lot of us from Chicago got the same story just told from a different perspective,” Polo said. “I feel like I tell it from the perspective of the pain that I endured and from the standpoint that I went through the same thing. I’m fighting through the same thing daily and you can get through it too. I feel like I tell a lot of truth and pain in my music but I also try to be an inspiration that you can do this.”

Ari Lennox Talks Summer Walker, ‘Shea Butter Baby’ & Crazy Roommates
DX recently caught up with Dreamville singer Ari Lennox while in Atlanta. Considering her Shea Butter Baby track “Apartment,” which is about reveling in your new apartment, we got the tea on one of her craziest roommate stories.
“I left a soda on the counter, and she said she didn’t drink soda—she drank my soda!” Ari recalled. “She was like, ‘Yeah, I had your soda.’ I was like, ‘Why would you do that?’ And she was like, ‘Oh hell no, you can get out!’ I cursed her out. She started recording me, so hopefully, there’s no video out there [laughing].”
