Ghanaian highlife musician, Bisa Kdei has revealed how ‘Mansa’ became his biggest hit record released in 2015.

Disclosing how the song became a widely played song on radio in 2015, Kdei communicated that his late mother, Josephine Bruce’s death contributed to making the ‘Mansa’ song a big hit in Ghana.

Speaking with Okyeame Quophie on the Emklan Tv Show, Bisa revealed that on the eve of releasing the video for the ‘Mansa’ single, he was called on the phone to be told his mother was taken ill and has been rushed to Cocoa Clinic in North Kaneshie, Accra where she died on Wednesday, August 19.

“On the 19th August, I was on radio promoting ‘Mansa’ and was also getting ready to release the video. I was about to tweet and post the video of ‘Mansa’ song on social media when I had a call that my mum was really ill but I still went ahead to post the video. My mum passed on that same day. It was both joy and pain when the song was everywhere.”

According to Bisa Kdei, his mum’s death and his accident won him a public sympathy making music lovers jam to his ‘Mansa’ song more.
