I never forced Lilwin’s wife on my aggressive interview show – Kwaku Manu

Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has cleared the air about controversies sparked when the wife of his colleague Lilwin appeared on his aggressive interview show.

Lilwin’s wife, Patricia Afriyie appeared on Kwaku Manu’s show weeks ago to defend her husband in an issue relating to Lilwin’s controversial relationship with Top Kay and Zack.

Her remarks about the issue reignited some longstanding controversies surrounding the relationship between Kwaku Manu and Lilwin, as a section of Ghanaians have accused Kwaku Manu of deliberately inviting Ms. Afriyie to tarnish Lilwin’s reputation.

But Kweku Manu in a recent interview has refuted such claims and branded them as false.

In his defense, he revealed that he never forced Patricia Afriyie to appear on his show to make damning revelations about his colleague actor and friend, Lilwin, but “she kept calling me to be on the show, I didn’t force her.”

He said, “I never called Patricia to make an appearance on my show because I know Lilwin from day one and I know how he behaves already, so there’s absolutely no reason to call his wife again.”

Kwaku Manu added that, contrary to what he is being blamed for, Ms Afriyie’s persistent calls to clear her name in her husband’s issue raised by his former friends Zack and Top Kay in an interview got her the slot on his show.

“There are controversies everywhere, Lilwin is my brother… and as you already know my show is extremely aggressive. So she already knew what she was getting into when she was continually calling me. She said Zack mentioned her name, she needs to clear her name. She called me more than five times.”

“I didn’t deliberately call the lady because I have an issue with Lilwin…No, that cannot happen and I didn’t deliberately make the interview aggressive, that is how I run my show.” He emphasized.
