I started the whole Dancehall movement in Ghana – Iwan 5

Iwan who prides himself as the lyrical gunshot has stated categorically that he started the whole Dancehall movement in Ghana adding that it was like a calling from God.

Speaking in an interview with Amansan Krakye of Radio Central fame, Iwan said that although he started the whole movement, but he’s not reigning lately in the Dancehall field.

However, he is not jealous about those making waves as no one can reign forever and it’s natural with human life. He noted that, he didn’t want to create monopoly so, he had to slow down for others to reign.

The truth is, Iwan used to be a real force to reckon with in the Dancehall fraternity. However, his career suddenly took a nosedive, albeit the huge talent he has.

He came up with conspiracy theory that his former manager Bulldog and fellow Dancehall artiste Samini were behind his slump. To Iwan, Bulldog denied him the chance to perform at Samini’s ‘MOVADO’ concert which took place at Accra Sports Stadium in October, 2011.
