Ice Spice Addresses Alleged Drake Rift After 'Her Loss' Diss & Instagram Unfollow 5

Ice Spice has cleared up speculation about her relationship with Drake after he allegedly dissed her on his latest project, Her Loss, and enticed a social media storm by unfollowing her on Instagram.

“She a 10 tryna rap, it’s good on mute,” Drake rattled off on “BackOutsideBoyz” — from his collaborative album with 21 Savage — which led many fans to speculate whether the dig was made towards the “Munch (Feelin’ U)” star.

Spice certainly seemed to think so when she took to Twitter shortly after the release of Her Loss, writing: “at least ima 10 [shrugging emoji] [laughing with tears emoji].”

Despite all of the fuss, the “Gangsta Boo” rapper shut down any notion of a rift when asked about the 6 God’s apparent jabs in a recent interview with with The New York Times.

“We’re cool,” she said. “We spoke after that a couple times and we’re good. There’s no beef.”

The duo first linked in August 2022 after the 23-year-old caught Drake’s attention with her breakout hit “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and freestyle on On the Radar Radio, which led to Drizzy flying her out to Toronto to attend his OVO Fest.

Recalling the surprise encounter with Drake, she told Spotify’s RapCaviar: “When Drake DM’d me, I did not really expect that.”

She continued: “I had just landed in L.A. for my Genius Open Mic for ‘Munch,’ and he was actually like, ‘Yo, ‘Munch’ is hard and your On the Radar freestyle is hard.’ And I was like, ‘Damn, that’s crazy because I’m really in L.A. about to shoot the Open Mic.’”

“Linking up with him was so cool. Like, he’s mad nice and respectful. We went to OVO Fest. It was exciting because it was like his first time performing in Toronto, I think in like a couple of years. So it was just a movie, everybody was excited.

“The energy was high. Nicki [Minaj] performed, it was lit. [Lil] Wayne did his thing. That shit was crazy,” Spice concluded, emphasizing Drake’s hospitality.

Meanwhile, Ice Spice released her debut EP Like..? on Friday (January 20). The release — her first under 10K Projects/Capitol Records — features six tracks, including the Diddy-sampling “Gangsta Boo” with fellow Bronx native Lil Tjay.
