I’m still traumatised from the VGMA incident – Gloria Sarfo 9

This year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards turned into a nightmare after Stonebwoy pulled out a gun to defend himself due to Shatta Wale and his militants storming the stage as he was receiving his Award.

The unfortunate Indicedent happened after Stonebwoy was announced as the ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year’.

Before Stonebwoy could take the microphone to give his acceptance speech, Shatta Wale and his SM militants were already on the stage aggressively wrestling their way through towards Stonebwoy.

This caused commotion in the auditorium, forcing the British High Commissioner to Ghana, Lydia Forson, Jackie Appiah, Sarkodie, and a number of notable dignitaries to quickly evacuate the auditorium out of fear of being caught in a crossfire. This resulted in a stampede.

One of the celebrities who fled the scene was Gloria Sarfo. According to her, she is yet to recover from the pepper spray attack during pandemonium caused by the brawl between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale camps.
