Ini Edo talks about her career journey, says instant success is not sustainable
Nollywood actress Ini Edo has spoken about how far she has come as an actress in the industry.
In a sober reflection, the actress recalled how she began her journey into stardom by posting a throwback movie scene where she was being wooed by playboy Jim Iyke.
Ini Edo wrote in the post that she never knew how far her acting career was going to go because she was just a young girl who loved to act.
She added that all the ups and downs helped shape her into who she is now and who she is yet to become.
Ini had some words of encouragement for her fans as well.
She told her fans to trust the process and not struggle for instant success because it would not last. She encouraged them to be patient and teachable and also work hard.
She also used the opportunity to pay tribute to the late Muna obiekwe who lost his life four years ago after secretly battling kidney problems for a while.
She wrote:
“Sober reflection of how far God has brought me…I was just a young girl who loved to act, never envisaged my passion would bring me this far..
the journey,the trials, failures,mistakes, tribulations gave me the consistency and the staying power… (still becoming)….
Allow yourself grow through the process,instant success is not sustainable..
Follow your passion and not ‘THE TREND” in choosing a career…
Be patient and be teachable, keep your head down and allow your work speak for you because ” Pride goeth before a fall”..
Above all,I Pray for the understanding and wisdom to manage that which is given to us as the ultimate gift…
