Jennifer Lopez and Shakira displayed an evident lack of chemistry at the post-show press conference

Shakira and Jennifer Lopez have been in the news in recent days after the latter’s remarks about her Super Bowl performance with the former

The Puerto Rican-American artist revealed that performing at the Super Bowl show with the Colombian was “the worst idea in the world”. These words are reminiscent of the tension that existed prior to the game.

Shakira and Jennifer Lopez would be the ones in charge of the halftime show of the Super Bowl in 2020. Both would perform their shows separately and would only come together at the end of the performance.

Jennifer Lopez was not happy about this. She, according to reports, wanted to have more prominence on stage. The news of the presence of the Colombian was not very well received.

This factor, as the date of the eagerly awaited event approached, is said to have provoked hostilities between the two stars to the point that their relationship soured.

The lack of chemistry was very evident at the post-Super Bowl press conference. Shakira and Jennifer Lopez attended with the media, but their non-verbal attitude indicated an awkwardness between the pair.

When one spoke, the other avoided their gaze. Neither of them showed a good attitude when answering questions. This behaviour was strange for the media.

The two tried to dispel the rumours by embracing at the end of the show. Also on social media, Shakira praised JLo for their joint performance.

“Thank you JLo for a night that shows everything Latinos have to offer,” Shakira wrote on her Twitter account. Jennifer Lopez retweeted that message, adding two heart emojis.
