Kanye West Reportedly Consulted On Elon Musk’s Texas Town Plans

Kanye West is reportedly among the people who Elon Musk has been consulting with as he plans to build his own town in the state of Texas.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday (March 9) that the Twitter CEO has acquired at least 3,500 acres of land outside Austin, and is planning to construct “a sort of Texas utopia along the Colorado River, where his employees could live and work.”

The area he’s looking to put down roots is near both SpaceX and Boring Co. facilities – the latter of which is Musk’s tunneling company. According to the report, doing so means he’d be able to set some of the regulations in his town in order to expedite his plans.

Kanye has discussed plans to make his own city for a few years now, tweeting in 2018 that he was building a “fireproof community,” and in 2020 sharing designs of a future Eco Village as well as a Children’s Ranch, complete with dome-like structures. Per Ye, the children’s ranch and eco-village would not only support mothers and families but offer “a place to safely experience pregnancy and birth.”

WSJ reported that the meetings between West and his architectural designer happened in 2022, but it’s unclear if this was before or after Musk got him suspended from Twitter for posting a swastika. In retaliation, Ye took to Instagram and called the entrepreneur “a half-Chinese genetic hybrid.”

“Am I the only one who thinks Elon could be half Chinese? Have you ever seen his pics as a child?” Ye wrote at the time. “Take a Chinese genius and mate them with a South African super model, and we have an Elon.

“I say an Elon because they probably made 10 to 30 Elon’s and he’s the first genetic hybrid that stuck …. well, let’s not forget about Obama. I’m sorry for using curse words in church but I don’t have another word for Obama yet. YE24 let’s unify and find out LUAFO.”

It’s also unclear who the architectural designer may be, but it’s possible it’s Ye’s new wife, Bianca Censori. Censori has been an architect for Yeezy for several years now, and the pair wed in a private ceremony at the top of the year – just months after his divorce with Kim Kardashian became official.

As for Musk, WSJ said he’s also been meeting with Grimes about the new city, with whom he shares two children with. Thus far, nothing concrete has come into fruition, however. Local residents and officials had little information to give the publication, but they did confirm Musk has sought approval from local governments and asked people to sign non-disclosure agreements.
