According to TMZ, the controversial rapper and producer has been hit with a $275,000 breach of contract claim by a former Yeezy staffer.

In the suit filed Friday (March 31), Dora Szilagyi claims she was hired to be the Director of Product Innovation for the Yeezy brand in June 2021.

However, she alleges West wanted her to quit her job at adidas and work for him full-time — and that she was promised a severance payment of $275,000 if she was fired without cause after September 2021.

When she was fired in mid-December 2021, Szilagyi claims she never received the promised severance payment. “Dora says she doesn’t believe Kanye or his company ever intended to follow through on the severance package and only dangled it to lure her from Adidas,” TMZ reports.

This lawsuit is just the latest in a long line of legal troubles for the Kanye West. In December 2022, he was hit with a $110,000 lawsuit from Katelyn Mooney, a Brooklyn-based creative director, after he allegedly failed to pay her for a last-minute photo shoot back in September.

According to a lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on December 7, 2022, Mooney said she was contacted by Kanye West’s team and asked to shoot his SHDZ designer sunglasses to use for marketing at New York Fashion Week.

The shoot reportedly took place on September 13, 2022, and Mooney delivered the final digital files the following day (September 14). However, she claims she never received payment for her efforts.

Also in December 2022, it was revealed that Yeezy’s Los Angeles offices were under threat of eviction after missing two months of rent payments totaling more than $60,000.

CT Calabasas, the company that owns the office building, issued a demand to West to pay the rent within 72 hours or face eviction.

In addition to reportedly owing over $600,000 in unpaid taxes, Kanye West became the target of an internal investigation by adidas in November 2022 after an explosive investigative report by Rolling Stone reported the mogul regularly showed pornography to colleagues.

The report claimed that Ye showed an explicit picture of his then-wife Kim Kardashian to a potential collaborator and an explicit video of her to his Yeezy employees.

Additionally, the report also found that Kanye West allegedly told people he wanted to make “a shoe I can fuck,” with one employee recalling West saying multiple times: “I literally want to fuck my shoes that’s how good they are.”

adidas confirmed in a statement that an investigation is currently underway.
