Kemi Olunloyo apologizes to Eniola Badmus for fat-shaming her 5

Controversial journalist, Kemi Omololu Olunloyo has rendered an unqualified apology to plus-size actress, Eniola Badmus for calling her fat.

Prior to the apology, the Nollywood star who appeared disturbed in a post wondered why people always take delight in calling her ugly.

Commenting on the post, Kemi said she was sorry for tagging her fat but advised that she works towards losing some weight for her own good.

She wrote: “You once told me the world doesn’t need me cos I called you fat and obese simply because of health reasons. I don’t want you to slip into HBP, diabetes or a stroke. You definitely ain’t UGLY. You are definitely pretty.

“Your weight is my concern and you are not the first I’m going to advise. Some of your fans cheering you up are gonna be the ones writing #RIP if these diseases afflict u and kill you God forbid. The truth is that people are dying daily from complications of obesity. I care about you. Sorry I “fat shamed” u in the past. Stay healthy.”

In December last year, JiveNaija.com reported that the Badmus was unperturbed about trolls regarding her size as she indicated in an Instagram post that people who make her stature their focal point of attack should try harder.

She said: “When will the bullies realize that calling me fat does not hurt my feelings. It’s not about the size you wear but the way you wear your size.”

Born on September 7, 1983, Eniola’s career in acting started in the year 2000. She however shot to fame in 2008 after starring in two Yoruba films – ‘Jenifa’ and ‘Omo Ghetto’.

She has since won several awards including Best Crossover in a Film at the Best of Nollywood Awards (2011); Best Actress of the Year (Yoruba) – City People Entertainment Awards 2014; Best Comedic Act – Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (2015); and Best Actress in Africa – Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts (2015).
