KODAK BLACK & JUSTIN BIEBER SUED OVER CONCERT AFTER-PARTY SHOOTING

The incident, which occurred on February 12, 2022 outside of an Italian restaurant in West Hollywood that was hosting an after-party for Bieber’s concert, resulted in Kodak Black being shot in the leg.

Kodak (real name Bill Kapri) was stood outside The Nice Guy when shots rang out, striking him and three other men (via NBC News). A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said the men were aged 60, 22, 20 and 19.

Now, according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, two men — Mark Schaefer and Adam Rahman — are saying they were shot and severely injured in the Super Bowl weekend shooting, and they’re putting the blame on Kodak Black, Justin Bieber and the restaurant.

In footage obtained by TMZ, Kodak was seen leaving the venue along with Gunna when they stopped to pose for photos with fans. A scuffle then broke out between a group of men near a red Ferrari and gunshots rang out, sending everyone running with Kodak and three others on the ground shot.

In the lawsuit, the alleged victims claim Kodak was a major catalyst in the shooting, stating that he was trying to cause harm and escalate the situation. In addition, they claim the venue’s security guards were incompetent, and so the venue, promoters and performers should also bear some responsibility in the shooting.

The two men — who are being represented by Gloria Allred, the lawyer famous for representing alleged victims in cases involving R. Kelly, Chris Brown and Tyga — are looking to collect damages from Kodak Black, Justin Bieber, The Nice Guy, The Hwood Group and Revolve Group, plus the City of Los Angeles, the City of West Hollywood and Los Angeles County.

Kodak’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, issued a statement to TMZ, telling the outlet that he believes the case will be dismissed pretty quickly. “I have seen a lot of bad complaints in my day,” Cohen said. “This is the most poorly drafted complaint I have seen in 26 years. I expect Kodak to be dismissed from this suit fairly quickly.”

He continued: “There is zero specificity in the complaint and Ms. Allred groups the defendants all together instead of making specific allegations against each. It’s law school 101. I am embarrassed for Ms. Allred that she actually signed her name to that complaint.”

Reps for Justin Bieber have not yet responded to the claims.

Meanwhile, Kodak Black revealed earlier this week that he’s following a path of higher education after enrolling at Arizona State University (ASU).

The Florida rapper took to his Instagram Story on Thursday (February 9) to let his fans know that he is now a student at ASU after getting his GED while behind bars. While he vowed to “apply” himself at the school, Yak believes the professors could learn a thing or two from him.

“Arizona beennn one of my states fun fact: I’m really enrolled in ASU college after getting my GED in jail I’m jus in love wit applying myself although money so long I can teach the school something,” Kodak wrote.

He added: “Anywayssss yea its lit this week ‘AZ’ Super Bowl week I’m in my mood I’m home in my comfort zone reallll comfy.”
