Ja Morant is one of the brightest young stars, in the NBA. Last season, he led the Memphis Grizzlies to an upset over the Golden State Warriors. In his first trip to the postseason, Morant helped the Grizzlies end the Warriors’ season. This season, the Warriors are the NBA’s best team, so this shows what level the Grizzlies can be on.

Prior to the start of the season, Ja Morant said he wanted to dunk on LeBron James, during an interview. At the time, it was expected that the Lakers would be one of the NBA’s top teams, this year. Instead, they have remained around .500, this season. Last night, LeBron James and the Lakers were in Memphis to take on Morant’s Grizzlies.

The Memphis Grizzlies would get the win over the Lakers, 104-99. In the end, the Grizzlies got the win, but Ja Morant didn’t get to accomplish one of his goals. With everything in the game going Memphis’ way, Morant went for the dunk on LeBron. Really, that was all this game needed in order for it to have been a perfect Grizzlies win.

When Ja Morant went up for the dunk on LeBron, James did all he could to prevent that. While he didn’t get the block, he put his whole body up to prevent Ja from even getting a shot up, let alone dunking on him. In the end, there was a foul call, which James took exception to.
