Man steps out of pickup truck, shoots and kills another man, Memphis Police say

A man stepped out of a pickup truck, shot a civilian multiple times, and drove off.

On Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at 3:00 pm, officers went to the 1700 block of Goodhaven Drive. Officers saw a man lying in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Video surveillance from the area showed a man in a 2014-2018 GMC Sierra exit the truck, police said.

The man proceeded to walk east on Goodhaven Drive and shot the victim multiple times.

He entered the GMC pickup truck and drove away west on Goodhaven Drive at a high rate of speed, police said.
