Mercy Aigbe laughs over rumours about renting mansion for N10m

A social media user has put Mercy Aigbe on blast for allegedly throwing dust in the eyes of her followers with claims that she owns a multi-million naira mansion in Lagos.

Sometime last year, Mercy posted pictures online showing off the house – worth over N100 million – she suggests to have bought in the Magodo area of Lagos state.

But a fan has called the Nollywood star out for making misleading statements, with claims that she allegedly rented the mansion for N10m rather than bought it at N100m.

“Amebo follow talk sey na N10mil wey Aunty con pay for house wey she come Internet dey use fake account mention huge amount on your top she con dey pose dey intimidate women actresses wey dem no buy house. The one wey shock me be sey, dem dey talk sey politician wey buy house stop to dey hammer Aunty cos his wife somehow take know sey Aunty nollywood be Oga’s sidechic. Let me pause here, I will be back. My food is burning.

“But before I proceed to the kitchen o, biko who is going to 14, oregunwa street oregun lagos? I think I left my purse in the hotel room. If they refuse to hand it in, kindly tell them they should hand it in before , who is the owner who was connected to Aunty before o, will come scatter my head with some kian grammar”

In reaction, Mercy Aigbe scoffed at the allegations and did not confirm or deny it either.

She said: “So they are still on this house matter when I am posting another one very soon” amid laughing emojis.

Not convinced by the response, an observer dared the actress to show proof of ownership and certificates of occupancy to prove she owns the property.

But Mercy would not be compelled, because, according to her, people will claim that the documents are forged as well.
