Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti praised Nipsey Hussle as a “gifted and brilliant artist” and an entrepreneur who found global success.”

“He was a tireless advocate for the young people of this city and of this world, to lift them up with the possibility of not being imprisoned by where you come from, or past mistakes, but the possibility of what comes in the future,” Garcetti said.

Details about Nipsey’s murder were revealed by the LAPD Chief Michel Moore who said that he doesn’t believe that murder was gang-related or had anything to do with gang activities. He said that the LAPD still isn’t sure of whether the shooter fled L.A. or if he’s still in the city but he Moore did urge the suspect, Eric Holder, to surrender.
