December was a strange month for album releases. Two of Atlanta’s biggest stars, 21 Savage and Offset, had plans to release an album that month but only one of them pulled through, even if it was mildly delayed. Offset’s project has yet to surface. It seems like much of the delay surrounded his highly publicized break-up with Cardi B. With the project set to drop this Friday, the rapper delivers a bit of insight to some of the artists who contributed to the project.

Offset plans to tell his story on his debut solo album and the rapper recruited two producers who’ve worked with him and the Migos throughout their career. Metro Boomin and Southside will be handling the entire production on the project. Metro Boomin was actually responsible for the production on the lead single, “Red Room” which officially dropped earlier this month.

Offset and Metro Boomin have a proven track record of creating nothing but hits together. “Bad & Boujee” soared to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, turning the track from a catchy single to a global anthem. The two also worked together on Without Warning with 21 Savage which produced the top 20 single, “Ric Flair Drip.”

Although Offset’s solo project faced a few delays, the rapper confirmed on Twitter that it would be dropping on Feb. 22. Keep your eyes peeled for that.
