Showing up and showing out for Essence magazine’s “Fashionably Loud” cover story, Rae Sremmurd pops in pastels for the Spring. The chart-topping rap duo caught up with the magazine to not only talk all things fashion but to share their thoughts on solo albums and what they have cooking up next. “We dropped three classic albums already; it’s time for the fourth,” they said.“My take on fashion is to dress in a way that looks good to you and makes you—and other people—feel good,” Slim Jxmmi told the publication. Avon Dorsey, Essence‘s contributing fashion editor, said he wanted to make sure and capture both Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi’s unique sense of style. “I wanted to dress them in a way that honored who they are — which is fun and expressive — while adding an element of high-fashion, choosing this season’s brightly-hued neon trend as inspiration for styling the brothers,” Dorsey said.
