Rapper attacks VGMA organizers for snubbing his “RICH” album

Rapper, AJ Nelson has questioned some artistes whose albums made it to the Album of the year category at the VGMAs.

AJ Nelson after several years released his Africa Arise album.

However, at the unveiling of nominees for this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, AJ Nelson’s Africa Arise album was snubbed.

Albums like Shatta Wale’s REIGN, Wendy Shay’s “Shay On You”, Kuami Eugene’s “ROCKSTAR”, Samini’s “Untamed”, Akwaboah’s “Matters of the heart” and Diana Hamilton’s “I Believe”.

Commenting on the list, AJ Nelson mentioned that he is shocked he was not considered for the category.

To him, his album is rich in content and was produced meticulously and therefore should have made it to the list.

He said ” I’m now feeling the same way J Cole is been feeling since Grammy decided not to recognize his talent! In this categorythere are only three albums that are on the same level as my #AfricariseAlbum ,interms of contend and production! Untamed Album is an insane (Crazy) reggae album,Matters of the heart is a classic,Diana Hamilton beautiful,but,the rest hmm  

 ! I don’t think they even listen to the album I took almost 3 years to record..In facti am sad and disappointed because I believe now to be recognized in Ghana  as a pure l talent means is to follow the trend/norm/hype! But F i,i am as raw as my reality.And tell them this nation is never dope!”
