Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah ‘picked up’ by National Security 5

Information reaching MyNewsGh.com indicates that National Security has picked up the Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah.

Reverend Owusu Bempah, MyNewsGh.com learnt will be allowed to go home later today with two armed police escort who are expected to be with him for sometime until the matter subsides. The youth who had planned to attack him personally were annoyed by the fact that their leader, one Baba Salah was detained by the police after he himself walked to the police station. He was later released after his boys masked up at the Regional Police headquarters chanting “free Baba Sala Now”.

He was picked up for his own safety as there was intelligence that group of youth had plan to attack him out of anger by the decision of the police to detain the young man who led the attack on the Odorkor branch of Reverend Owusu Bempah’s Church.

Already, there are about 8 police vehicles with armed police officers stationed at the Odorkor Branch of Owusu Bempah’s church.

I blame NDC, not Muslims

Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah in his first interview has stated clearly that those who attacked his church are not Muslims.

He claimed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) mobilized to irate youth to vandalize his church after an assassination attempt on his life failed.

“NDC sent someone from Salaga to assassinate me so I knew those who came to my church even though they were speaking Hausa were not Muslims”.

A group armed with machetes stormed Rev. Owusu Bempah’s Wednesday after he prophesied that some key leaders in Ghana including the National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharabutu will die 2019.

The group streamed the attack live on Facebook, damaging property and razing to the ground a billboard with Rev Owusu-Bempah’s image.

The youth who threatened to do worse if the man of God fails to apologise rescinded their decision when Chief Imam appealed for calm, saying those incensed by the prophecy should forgive the pastor, who is one of the most charismatic church leaders in Ghana.

Reacting to the development, Rev Bempah said the chief Imam is a nobleman.

He showered praises on the revered Imam who in spite of the prophesy demonstrated maturity and appealed for calm among his members.

“Chief Imam shocked me; he didn’t behave like some men of God who condemned me for doing God’s work” he added. Rev. Owusu Bempah warned the NDC and the pastors conniving to kill him not to bother because he is protected by God.
