Samini shows class at VGMA Experience Concert

Dancehall artiste Samini proved again that he is the best when it comes to stage performance at the Black Star Square last Saturday when he performed at the VGMA Experience Concert.

None of the other artistes who took to the stage; Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Kwesi Arthur, Tinny among others could match up to Samini.

For the 30 minutes he was on stage, there was no dull moment as he thrilled the audience with songs like Iskoki, Movement, Obaa, My Own, Linda, Time Bomb and several others.

The highlight of Samini’s performance was when he acknowledged his sometimes rival, Shatta Wale, telling the massive crowd that their king would come on stage to perform for them but they should allow him to also thrill his fans.

“We have Sark Nation, Bhim Nation, SM Movement and we are all here to entertain you. So there is no need to fight when we can all come together,” Samini stated to applause from the crowd.

Apart from Samini, Adane Best was the next best performer on the night. His dance moves, energy and all the hit songs he dropped were enjoyed by everyone.

He performed songs like Mama Mia, Gyata Bi, Maafio, W’ano Pe Asem, Suumo.

There were generally good performances from the likes of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Tinny, Adina, Empress Gifty Adorye, Kwesi Arthur, Akesse Brempong, Bongo Blay among others.

There is no doubt that Shatta Wale is the king of the streets and that was evident again when he hit the stage.

The cheers were loud and frenzied and although his performance was not extraordinary his loyal fans who came in their numbers still enjoyed every bit of it.

He performed almost all his songs including Island, Ayoo, Bulletproof, Thunder Fire, Taking Over, Freedom and My Level.

The main awards for the VGMA will come off on May 18 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
