Selena Gomez Responded To Speculation That Hailey Bieber Shaded Her In A TikTok About “God’s Timing”
Selena Gomez responded to speculation around that TikTok Hailey Bieber posted.
If you missed it, Hailey was accused of shading the singer in a video shared last month that showed her, Kendall Jenner, and a friend all mouthing along to the words “I’m not saying she deserved it, but God’s timing is always right.”
While it didn’t outright reference anything in particular, people tried to say that Hailey was talking about Selena, noting how Selena had just recently faced a bunch of body-shaming comments after her vacation pics went viral.
But either way, Selena wasn’t letting it get to her. “It’s ok!” she wrote after a TikToker shared their commentary on the video. “I don’t let these things get me down! Be nice to everyone! X”
The video that Hailey shared has since been deleted, but she did clarify that she was never talking about the “Wolves” singer.
“I never comment on this type of thing but we were just having a girls night and did a random tik tok sound for fun. It’s not directed at anyone,” she commented on TikTok.
Any drama that they might have had seemed to be squashed last year when they took photos together at the Academy Museum Gala — but Selena said even that was not a “big deal” to them. “It’s not even a thing,” she told Vulture.
