Shatta Michy reacts to John Dumelo’s call for women to marry more than 1 man
John Dumelo sparked controversy on social media this afternoon after he came out to suggest that men should be allowed to marry more than one woman since most men have side chicks.
He went on to say that women should also be allowed to marry more than 1 man — that’s the legalization of polyandry should also be considered.
He wrote:
“Under customary law and Mohammedans law Cap 129, a man can marry more than one woman. Under the marriage Ordinance Cap 127, a man is allowed to marry only one woman. If he marries more than one, he commits bigamy. I think it’s time for that to be repealed. After all most married men have side chicks and it’s time elevate them to wifey status because they perform the same duties.”
Well, Shatta Wale’s baby mama, Michy has reacted to John Dumelo’s call for the legalization of polyandry especially.
In an Instagram story, she agreed with Dumelo. Michy noted that if polyandry is fully legalized, she’ll need 5 husbands for herself since 1 husband would be boring.
