Snoop Dogg is readying new music with Dr. Dre this summer.

The Long Beach rapper took to Instagram on Tuesday (February 7) to share a throwback photo of himself and Dre, while confirming that new material from them will be released in the coming months.

“Dynamic. Duo,” he wrote in the caption. “Music comin summer 23.”

The teaser comes just months after Snoop Dogg announced that he and Dr. Dre are working on a new album together called Missionary, which will serve as the spiritual successor to his 1993 debut Doggystyle.

Snoop dropped the bombshell on Stephen A. Smith’s Know Mercy podcast in September, where he revealed the project was due to be finished that November.

“I’ma tell you this, you’re the first one to hear this: me and Dr. Dre have been working on an album for the past two months,” he said at the time. “And it’ll be done in November. It’s produced by Dr. Dre, it’s our 30th anniversary to Doggystyle. And the name of the album is Missionary.”

Dr. Dre produced the entirety of Doggystyle, which was home to hits such as “Gin and Juice” and “Who Am I (What’s My Name?).” The collaborative effort came on the heels of Snoop’s breakout appearances on Dre’s groundbreaking 1992 debut The Chronic, including the hit single “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang.”

The West Coast duo continued their collaborative success on hits such as “Still D.R.E.” and “The Next Episode” from Dre’s 2001 album.

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre reuniting has been no secret, with the pair being spotted in the studio with Eminem and Diddy last year.

“[Dre and I] are cooking up a little something,” Snoop told ET in August 2022. “I don’t wanna talk about it too much, but we’re back together again. It’s been 30 years since we worked on a record, and we’re doin’ something, we’re workin’ on something.”

Missionary is expected to be released on Death Row Records after Snoop Dogg acquired the legendary gangsta rap label in 2022. It’ll mark his 20th studio album following last year’s Bacc On Death Row.
