Tommy Davidson Reveals He and Will Smith Had Run-In Over Movie Scene With Jada

Tommy Davidson has been speaking candidly about his career and life since the release of his memoir. While on Fox 5 New York to talk about the comedy show he’s on with Tony Rock, the comedian also spoke about a heated moment with Will Smith following miscommunication with Jada Pinkett-Smith while on the set of ‘Woo,’ a movie they starred in together.

Davidson talked about how he and producers wanted to change the movie’s ending, with Davidson set to kiss Pinkett without any time to rehearse. However, Jada disapproved of it like the producers had told Davidson, which led to friction behind the scenes. “They didn’t tell the truth [to Jada],” said the comedian. Davidson said Will Smith approached him in a trailer looking like how he did at the Oscars. “Will comes into the trailer, and he’s looking like the other night coming towards me. I had no idea what he was talking about, so words were exchanged, and I asked him to go outside, and Jada didn’t let it get to that level.”

Davidson said he figured if they went outside, they would be able to hash out their differences. Davidson was asked what the deal was with Smith and pointed out how well-deserved Will’s Oscar was. He went on to say that what Chris Rock said may have triggered the pressure balloon the actor has been facing. Watch above.
