Your death changed me – Jessica Opare Saforo remembers mum

Popular presenter Jessica Opare Saforo has penned an emotional message to late mum who passed last year.

The Citi FM presenter poured her heart out on her Instagram page on Sunday, which happened to be the birthday of her late mum.

“A year ago today we celebrated your birthday and you spoke into my life. I was overcome with emotion whiles you said what you did because I knew you were gravely ill and didn’t have much time left.

This year your birthday is here and I long to hear your voice, to see you dance, to snuggle up next to you whiles you lay in bed.

You’re not here to celebrate with us mum. I’d turn back time if I could cos only God knows how much I miss you.

Your life was a blessing to me but your death changed me. I’ve never been the same since. You left your birthday present Sheila behind and for the first time in over 40 years, my dearest sister will be celebrating her birthday without you. Hmmm. We’ll make sure she gets through today. I miss you. I love you. If my love could’ve saved you, you would’ve lived forever.
