The Asante Akim North District Assembly is implementing massive development projects to provide social amenities, which would open up the communities and make life better for the people.

Mr Francis Oti Boateng, District Chief Executive told the Ghana News Agency that the Assembly had secured a total of $ 380,000.00 from the central government to undertake development projects and rehabilitate existing ones, especially in the rural communities.

He said the Assembly was already initiating a number of projects, especially in the areas of health, education, water and sanitation, road networks as well as security.

Mr Boateng said his office would in November this year, inaugurate its district health directorate and rehabilitate the old police station for use as fire station.

He said the District Security Council had worked hard to drive away Fulani herdsmen and their cattle from the area and this had resulted in the increased food production in the District.

The DCE said the implementation of the one district one factory as well as the one constituency one warehouse, were ongoing.
