Beyoncé Surprises Fans With “CUFF IT (Wetter Remix)”

Before the arrival of RENAISSANCE last year, the Beyhive was starving for more content from Beyoncé. Following the project’s historic debut, the mother of three has been working harder than ever to keep her fans fed.

She began with an incredible return to the stage for the first time in years in Dubai. A roster of star-studded celebrities flew out to the UAE to witness the spectacle firsthand. Beyoncé is still hearing adoring social media users sing her praise for the concert. In the time since her big resurgence, the announcement for her upcoming RENAISSANCE tour is now making headlines. Meanwhile, the world is desperately fighting to get their hands on coveted tickets.

Of course, only a select number of lucky shoppers will take home passes to the performances. To cheer up anyone who may have missed out, the “Baby Boy” hitmaker shared a remix of a RENAISSANCE fan favourite this weekend.

“CUFF IT (Wetter Remix)” landed on Beyoncé’s website on Friday (February 3), and is already receiving endless praise for its creativity. The song takes the vocalist’s singing from the album, then layers it over the instrumental of Twista’s “Wetter” from 2009.

The lyrics have been slightly altered as well. Now, the Houston native sings, “I can see the love in your eyes / Boy I know you wanna squeeze it, don’t lie / Double tap when I walk by, f*ck a reply,” on the bridge, obviously boosting the track’s already sultry energy.
