Movie legend, Cameron Diaz, is heading back into retirement after Jamie Foxx suffered a meltdown on the set of ‘Back in Action’.

The actress, who won the hearts of the people for her portrayal of the loveable Princess Fiona in Shrek, hung up her boots last year, rendering fans devastated.

But after agreeing to join the eagerly-anticipated project with Foxx and Netflix, she gave her supporters a glimmer of hope that they’d be able to continue enjoying her wacky movies for a long time to come.

However, with an adorable three-year-old daughter, called Raddix, at home, the 50-year-old is choosing to spend more time with her family and away from the entertainment industry.

A source close to her informed The Daily Mail: “These back-to-back 10-hour workdays have been a lot on her, and she hates being away from Raddix. Cameron loves being a mom more than anything in the world.”

And while her adoring husband, Benji Madden, is her biggest fan, he often misses Diaz, with the source claiming, his wife’s time away in her latest film has been very stressful for him.

The movie, directed by Seth Gordon, which is set to hit the streaming service in 2024, was packed to the brim with drama, with Foxx losing his marbles and firing an executive producer, two directors, and his driver.

Luckily, the man, who’s wowed audiences in Spider-Man, has remained on good terms with Diaz and wasn’t bothered by her decision to re-retire from the business.

A source confirmed: “When you are in a position of authority, sometimes you have to make decisions to let people go who do not share the same vision as you. I would be incredibly surprised if it caused any tension between Jamie and Cameron.

The source claims that Diaz, a veteran of the game, understands that this is simply part of proceedings.

However, despite remaining tight with her long-term colleague, Diaz despises confrontational situations, and this is what originally convinced her to step away from the limelight.

The source added: “This is why she retired from the business in the first place. She has already proven herself in the industry and has nothing left to prove to anyone.”
