‘Everyone in family except me is star’: Tanishaa Mukerji on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11

One of the most-loved and popular dance reality shows, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, is all set to return to television screens with a new season. Premiering on Diwali, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 will feature an array of celebrities, including stars like Tanishaa Mukerji, Shiv Thakare, Aamir Ali, Sangeeta Phogat, Shoaib Ibrahim, and Rajiv Thakur among others. Along with the contestants’ list, the promos of the reality show are also out, leaving fans all excited for the brand-new season. In one of the promos shared by the channel, actress Tanishaa Mukerji was seen getting emotional as she opened up about her struggle in the industry. Absent from the big screen for a long time, Tanishaa is all set to make a comeback on television with the dance reality show this time.

Giving her debut performance on the popular song ‘Laila Main Laila‘, the actress left the judges Malaika Arora, Farah Khan, and Arshad Warsi in awe. The judges were seen cheering her for her dancing skills, calling her a star. On the other hand, the actress was seen getting teary-eyed.

Speaking about the struggles in her career and constant comparisons with her sister Kajol and mother Tanuja, Tanishaa mentioned how her entire family has stars, except for her.

“Mei family mei Ajay Devgn, Kajol sab stars hai. Main woh mukaam tak nahi pahuchi. I am not a star,” she said.

The promo of the show has been shared on both Instagram as well as X, with fans getting more curious and excited as the show nears its premiere date.

This is not the first time that Tanishaa Mukerji has taken part in a reality show. Earlier, she was seen participating in Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. While she emerged as the first runner-up in Bigg Boss 7, she also made it to one of the finalists in Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 7.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11

After the previous season came to an end with Gunjan Sinha emerging as the winner and Rubina Dilaik as the runner-up, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is set to return to its original channel this year.

Giving it a complete spin this year, the previous judges Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit, and Nora Fatehi have been replaced by Malaika Arora, Arshad Warsi, and Farah Khan respectively. On the other hand, Gauahar Khan and Rithvik Dhanjani will be seen as the hosts. The show will go on air from 11 November on Sony TV.
