Harry and Meghan ‘arrive in UK after flying commercial’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have touched down on British soil for the first time since the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, according to a new report.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex used a commercial airline for their journey and the plane landed on Saturday morning, Hello! claims.

Their children, Archie and Lilibet, are not believed to have travelled with them.

This is the third trip the royal couple has made to the UK this year but they are yet to be spotted this time.

It remains to be seen whether they will meet with other royals during their time here.

Their arrival comes days after Meghan’s wide-ranging interview with New York-based magazine The Cut, where she said it takes ‘a lot of effort’ to forgive and hinted that she can ‘say anything’.

The duchess also said that ‘just by existing’ she and Harry were ‘upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy’ before they stepped down as senior working royals.

It was announced back in August they would be flying over to take part in events with ‘charities close to their hearts’.

Their itinerary starts in Manchester on Monday with the One Young World summit, for which the duchess is a counsellor.

They will meet a group of summit delegates doing ‘outstanding work on gender equality’, the organisation, which brings together young leaders from more than 190 countries, said.

The parents-of-two will later jet off to Germany, where they will mark the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games.

They will then return to the UK for the WellChild Awards in London, where Harry is set to deliver a speech on Thursday.

It is unclear if the California-based pair will visit the Queen in Balmoral where she has been holidaying this summer.

Their trip falls in the same week a new British leader will be announced and asked to form a government by the monarch.

Her Majesty will not travel to London and will instead receive politicians at her Scottish estate of Balmoral.

It will be the first time in the monarch’s 70-year reign that a prime minister has officially tendered their resignation or been appointed outside of Buckingham Palace.
