‘I Don’t See Any Ghanaian Winning A Grammy Now’- Kidi

Grammy Awards is one the most prestigious awards scheme every artist in this world would love to lay hands on.

And following the recent buzz Shatta Wale’s supposed Grammy nomination had after Beyonce’s Lion King: The Gift album got the nod in the 2020 Grammys, Kidi has shared his views on the prospect of a Ghanaian winning a Grammy.

Speaking on Ghanaweekend TV, Kidi said it’s not likely a Ghanaian will win a Grammy anytime soon until the fundamentals are properly structured.

“We’re not close. We’re not. I mean that’s the truth. We’ll like to be close but we have a lot of work to do” he pointed.

“One of our challenges is getting a presence internationally. Getting to make a statement out there. We need to start to fix some internal issues and when we go out there we need to make a presence.

“It’s a step by step thing. So, we will get there but I don’t think as at now we’re close. We have work to do” he added.
