Since 2009, Chris Brown’s reputation has taken hit after hit with a series of legal troubles, social media drag sessions and angry outbursts threatening to cancel the award-winning hitmaker’s career once and for all. After a few short stints in jail coupled with time on probation, community service, domestic violence counseling and court-mandated treatment sessions, it seems as though Brown is now enjoying the luxury of a quiet personal life. While there’s no doubt that the “Pills & Automobiles” singer owes much of his toned-down demeanor to professional help he’s received, Brown gives props to his daughter Royalty for being the chief centering force in his life.”So I have a co-parenting job that’s pretty amazing but, you know, learning how to be a dad, especially learning how to take care of somebody else, you know, I barely know how to brush my teeth in the morning!” Brown admitted during an appearance on On-Air With Ryan Seacrest. “It’s actually great. It’s very humbling. You know, it’s very calming. I think I was a lot, you know, rambunctious, very hyper as a kid but now seeing that 10 times over, my daughter’s kinda like mellowing me out.”

“I think with me, the main thing [I’ve learned] is probably patience,” Brown continued. “With me, I always want stuff done right now—’Let’s get it done, let’s get it done!’ but, you know, being able to be a father and, you know, seeing my daughter, you know, from those gradual stages, from crawling to walking to saying words now, you know, learning different things every day is kinda just teaching me patience.”

Always eager to share his daughter Royalty with his 50.3 million Instagram followers, keeping reading for the cutest pics of the singer-songwriter and his mini-me.
