Ghanaian Afrobeat musician and producer, Elom Adablah better known by the stage name EL has expressed that the ‘Artiste of the Decade’ award should be given to two musicians.

According to the ‘Obuu Mo’ hitmaker, it wouldn’t be appropriate to give the ward to one artiste because they have all played vital roles in the growth of the music industry.

EL believes the ‘Artiste of the Decade’ award at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards should be awarded to two artists in the category because they all deserve it.

“Everyone deserves it in their own right. I don’t think it’s appropriate or even fair to give one artiste an ‘Artiste of the Decade’ because we’ve had different artistes mould the whole music industry for the past 10 years. They should give it to 2 Artistes in that category”, EL stated.

At the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, the category that has got many Ghanaians talking is the Artiste of the Decade.

The nominees are Becca, Efya, Joe Mettle, Okyeame Kwame, R2Bees, Samini, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Nacee and No Tribe.
