JAY-Z didn’t hold back when it came to his wrist game at Michael Rubin’s star-studded Fourth of July party in the Hamptons earlier this week.
According to professional pocket-watcher and watch connoisseur Chad Alexander, Hov supposedly rocked a rare Patek Phillippe watch worth north of $7million.
“JAY-Z wore his vintage yellow gold Patek Phillippe reference 2499,” Alexander said in a TikTok video while sharing photos from the bash. “One of these in rose gold recently sold at an auction for $7.7million.”
The auction he is referencing was reported by Hypebeast to be at Sotheby’s Hong Kong where another colorway of the rare watch was sold for seven figures in April 2022.
There was plenty of lavish wristwear around Michael Rubin’s party as Lil Baby donned the silver “Bubba Watson” Richard Mille, which goes for about $350,000, while DJ Khaled opted to go with the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch that retails for around $450,000.
The stars were out for the Fanatics CEO’s all-white party which went down at a Hamptons mansion on July 3 with dignitaries coming together from across entertainment, business and sports.
On the music side, Travis Scott, Beyoncé, Quavo, Lil Durk, Jack Harlow, Kelly Rowland, Coi Leray, Fabolous, Jennifer Lopez and Justin Bieber all pulled up.
While models on the guest list included Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Lala Anthony, Lori Harvey, Hailey Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski and Winnie Harlow.
Even retired NFL star Tom Brady flew in for the occasion to celebrate America’s birthday a day early. He was photographed hanging with NBA stars James Harden and Devin Booker. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio popped up in various pics as well.
As night fell, Usher and Ne-Yo hit the stage to deliver impromptu performances while Travis, Harlow and comedian Druski took turns helming the DJ booth.
“Might need a whole year for my liver to recover. Incredible night with incredible people ! ps good news – we didn’t need the medical tent this year, no major injuries lol,” Rubin captioned his Instagram slideshow following the party.
