After winning defamation trial he could levy her assets

The trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is over but the news about the former couple just keeps on coming, as the famous actress’ financial issues could see her assets be seized and be given to her ex-husband.

Heard is in search of capital to pay Depp after the latter won the defamation trial.

According to the New York Post, Heard is reportedly bankrupt, which means that she would be forced to sell assets to pay for the compensation due to Johnny Depp.

In case Heard is not able to pay, Depp could potentially levy her assets or even seize her house in California’s Yucca Valley.

“[Depp] can institute collection proceedings so he can garnish [Heard’s] pay, if she has a salary or wage-type income,” said lawyer Jeremiah Denton.

“He can attach her assets which basically means seize them. He can get to her assets, sell them and take cash.”

Heard’s lawyer, Elain Bredehoft, has already revealed that the actress is not able to afford the full payment, which amounts to $8.35 million.

Meanwhile, the actress may be forced to sell a Tesla Model X, which was gifted to her by Elon Musk.

Depp’s moment of euphoria
Following his win at the trial, the famous actor is living a moment of euphoria, with a change of look and without shying away from the spotlight.

Heard, on the other hand, is keeping a more discreet profile, avoiding to seek media attention.
