Keanu Reeves and Girlfriend Alexandra Grant Step Out for Date Night at the MOCA Gala 2024 in L.A.

Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant spent a glamorous date night out!

The couple attended the MOCA Gala 2024 at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, April 13.

For the evening out, the Matrix star, 59, wore a navy blue ensemble, while his artist girlfriend, 54, donned a vibrant blue-green colored dress.

Reeves and Grant last made a public appearance together at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Gala in November 2023. The couple made their relationship public in 2019 and have made that event an annual date night since then.

A source recently gave PEOPLE insight into the very private couple’s relationship.

“They both work hard and then enjoy life together,” the insider said. “They’re very much a normal couple.”

“They’re often invited to events but only attend ones that truly matter to them,” the source continued. “They’re both homebodies. They’d much rather entertain at home. They often have friends over for dinner.”

An Insider also recently told PEOPLE that Reeves is “very happy” with Grant, whom the source described as “a rare gem.”

“Everyone just loves her. They live together and often have friends over for dinner,” the source said, adding that Grant visits Reeves on local sets or travels with him if he’s filming on location.

In September 2023, Grant told PEOPLE while at the Los Angeles Beverly Arts Icon Awards that she’s at a very independent stage in her life and in her relationship.

“The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun. I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone,” she said.

Grant added that Reeves was “an inspiration” to her because he’s “so creative, he’s so kind. He works so hard.”
