Keke Palmer has expressed her “much distrust” of the United States Government. Being disappointed at decisions made by the powers that be recently, the former “Scream Queens” star got candid about her inability to trust them and shared it with her followers.

On Thursday, June 29, the 29-year-old let out a video on Instagram in which she discussed her issues with the government. Over the clip, she noted, “WHAT IS GOING ON!?!? As a millennial l I’ve had ENOUGH.” In the video, she could be heard saying, “It just gets to a point where we just don’t even have trust in the government anymore.”

The “Nope” actress went on to say, “People want us to be involved and want us to be engaged and we’d like to, but it’s hard to be involved and engaged when there’s so much distrust.” She further asked, “How are y’all overturning Roe v. Wade? How are y’all overturning Affirmative Action? At this point, are we about to be segregated again?”

Along with the video, Keke wrote in the caption of the post, “Idk if I should be happy that @mielleorganics are on their way to be just for us again or what! ….Im kidding but SERIOUSLY! How can we keep going like this?”

“I’m down for whatever and ready to roll with all the punches cause in the end the good always wins but there are some serious holes in the system and it gets to the point where something has to give,” she continued. “What good is playing by the rules when they just play in your face like this?”

Keke’s video was later reposted on The Shade Room’s Instagram page. The comments section of the post was immediately flooded with Instagram users expressing their thoughts on the matter. One in particular wrote, “Every battle we fight and win is never completely won. I keep saying this – every generation has to keep fighting to maintain any change or progress we make.”

Meanwhile, another chimed in, “They get mad when we don’t care for politics like we’re ‘supposed to’ but politics don’t even care for us how they’re supposed to.” A third penned, “I feel like anybody that was born during segregation should not be in any form of leadership in 2023. they are all out of touch – why is the president pushing 100???”

Keke’s disappointment at the government came a few weeks after she made a claim that she had been a victim of “breast milk discrimination” at the Houston airport. On June 12, she wrote on Twitter, “Breast milk discrimination at the Houston airport ruined my mood.”

“I should’ve popped my t*t out right then because the discretion and comfort of pumping is thwarted with threats to throw out over 16oz my babies food?!?!!! Why is that not a crime?? I’M A MOTHER for crying out loud,” she continued.
