Kemi Olunloyo claims Davido is broke after spending $15million on Payola in US

Controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo has accused Davido of paying a whooping $15million as payola for his music to be played on radio in America.

The journalist posted this on popular social media platform Twitter. In the tweet, she said Davido had burnt a hole in his pocket and as a result had to pick an uber.

This was in reference to a video that popped up online showing an excited uber driver calling his family because he had picked up Davido from the airport.

In the tweet she wrote:

“Davido paid $15M to many US urban radio stations to play his songs on a 60 day media tour. This act is called #Payola.

Ur songs are pushed so hard to land u on the charts. Regular artists don’t have to pay for radio play. He’s so broke now he took a Uber from the airport home.”

Davido has just recently been spotted performing at Idris Elba’s plush 3-day wedding ceremony in Morocco.

The singer gave an electrifying performance and danced with fashion icon Christian Louboutin.
