Awards season is among us, which means all of your favorite celebrity couples will be turning the red carpet into their own personal date nights for the next several months. On Thursday, many stars kicked off the start of the season at the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Festival, including Kirsten Dunst and her husband Jesse Plemons, who made a rare public appearance together.

Despite typically maintaining a private relationship, the husband-and-wife duo stepped out in coordinating looks. Dunst wore a black backless pleated chiffon Valentino gown with a a floor-skimming train, which she accessorized with diamond earrings, matching choker, and strappy black sandals.

Dunst’s signature blonde hair was styled in shoulder-length curls and a half-back updo that was embellished with a black bow. Her glam consisted of bronzed contour, feathered lashes, and a mauve lip.

For his part, Plemons looked dapper in a coordinating black tuxedo that he styled with a matching bow tie, white button-up shirt, and dress shoes. The two smiled and shared some laughs while posing for the flashing cameras.

Plemon’s film, Killers of the Flower Moon, which also starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Lily Gladstone, was honored with the Vanguard Award during Thursday’s event. The Martin Scorsese movie about the Osage murders is poised to have a successful awards season, already snagging seven Golden Globe nominations, including Best Motion Picture. And, for any film buffs who were unable to make it to the theaters, KOTFM will be available to stream on Apple+ starting Jan. 12.

The Globes take place this Sunday, Jan. 7, which could mean another adorable date night for the talented couple. The two wed in 2022 and have worked together on several different projects including Fargo, The Power of the Dog, and their upcoming A24 action movie, Civil War, out Apr. 26.
