Kylie Jenner Gave Cinderella’s Glass Slipper an Avant-Garde Upgrade at Couture Week

From sheer gowns galore to a cute mommy-and-me matching moment with Stormi at Valentino, Kylie Jenner is turning Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week into her personal runway show. And yesterday, she lived out a real-life fashion fairytale in the front row at Jean Paul Gaultier with her very own pair of glass slippers.

En route to the brand’s spring-summer couture 2024 show, Kylie put an avant-garde spin on Cinderella’s iconic shoe while stepping out in clear platforms with a sculptural, optical illusion heel and a pearl bauble on her big toe. She teamed the see-through shoes with a strapless cream-colored corset minidress that was layered underneath a sheer swathe of fabric in the same shade. Keeping her shoes the main focus of her outfit, the Khy founder accessorized minimally with just a pair of silver earrings and a delicate gold bracelet on one wrist.

Jenner’s soft glam — which consisted of pink lip, rosy cheeks, and glowing skin — was just as ethereal as her gown. Meanwhile, her long dark hair was pulled back into an effortless updo as she entered the Parisian venue, but after taking her seat, she let her loose curls down and tousled to the side.

While Kylie may have been channeling Cinderella with her couture look, her Prince Charming (ahem, Timothée Chalamet) was missing from her side. Chalamet, who just wrapped filming Dune: Part Two, is likely busy preparing for his role in the new Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, in which he plays the Grammy-winning singer himself.

Back in October, Chalamet told GQ that he was “Dylan-ing hard” for the part and enlisted Austin Butler’s Elvis team — including Eric Vetro for vocal, Tim Monich for dialect, and Polly Bennett for movement — to help him. “I’ve basically been working with his [Butler’s] entire Elvis team for my Dylan prep,” he explained. “I just saw the way he committed to it all—and realized I needed to step it up.”
