Nana Aba lauds Ghanaian bloggers; says they’re more powerful

Gone are the days when people are more interested in buying the latest radio sets just to know what’s happening by listening to the various radio stations.

But with the influx of web content curators or better still bloggers, internet users now get access to daily happenings with just a click.

It’s at the back of this that Nana Aba Anamoah has applauded Ghanaian bloggers for contributing immensely to news curation.

However, the popular broadcaster admonished them to desist from pushing news about only celebrities as there are more compelling stuff in the country that deserve attention.

According to her in an interview with KSM, she said “with bloggers I feel there are so many important things in this country that needs to be talked about yet they spend 150% of their time reporting on what others are posting on their social media pages.

She also added that in her view, Ghanaian bloggers do not know how powerful they are.

“I think the bloggers in this country have no idea about how powerful they are, they just don’t know and that is why they are concentrating so much on celebrities. People only follow them because of gossip but they can actually use that platform to change the lives of people in a positive way”.
