Nicole Kidman knows how to work a red carpet, there’s no doubt about that, but her latest outfit proves that she can turn the mean streets of New York City into her personal runway, too. Today, the Oscar-winning actress was seen in the Big Apple wearing a super-luxe, long greige coat with no buttons and a belted waist — and she paired the topper with a pair of Ugg boots, blending cozy and comfortable with a Very Good Coat in a way that’s making us all reconsider our footwear choices.

Kidman’s signature strawberry-blonde hair was pulled back off of her face and a pussy-bow blouse peeked out from underneath the lapels of her coat, which went past her knees and allowed for a full, unobstructed view of her shoes. She opted for classic chestnut-colored Uggs instead of her usual spotlight-ready stilettos. According to CBS, Uggs were one of the most-requested presents during the last holiday season, meaning that many of us could recreate the vibe of this cozy ‘fit.

Kidman’s coat comes after a major red carpet moment just last year, which included a Champagne colored gown at the premiere of her Prime Video series, Expats. The dress was from Fendi’s Autumn-Winter 2023 couture collection and included a strapless silhouette, rouched bodice, and super-high leg slit. Keith Urban joined Kidman on the carpet.
The show, which premieres on Jan. 26, follows “the vibrant lives of a close-knit expatriate community: where affluence is celebrated, friendships are intense but knowingly temporary, and personal lives, deaths and marriages are played out publicly — then retold with glee.”

The series is based on Janice Y. K. Lee’s 2016 novel, The Expatriates.

Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon Studios, told Deadline about the show, as well, saying, “The story weaves an addictive tapestry that follows a group of complex women and their lives as outsiders in Hong Kong. It’s a compelling exploration of the strength of these women as they persevere through struggles with marriage, career, parenting, and unimaginable loss.”
