Offset And Quavo Have No Plan To Make New Music Together Despite Settling Beef

Fans may need to restrain themselves from expecting new Migos music any time soon. Despite Offset and Quavo’s recent reunion at the 2023 BET Awards, the surviving members of the group allegedly have no plans to make new music together.

Sources with direct knowledge of the two rappers’ relationship tell TMZ that the formerly beefing stars have actually been cordial behind the scenes months ago. But the renewed friendship doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re ready to release new music together as a duo.

The sources go on stressing that Offset and Quavo’s performance at the BET Awards was strictly in honor of Takeoff and not a marketing plot. In fact, it’s still unknown if they will ever use the moniker Migos again in releasing potential future projects. Should they release a new Migos project, it’s highly unlikely that they will ever replace Takeoff with someone else.

Offset and Quavo were rumored to have clashed since before Takeoff’s death. It culminated at the 2023 Grammy Awards, where they reportedly fought backstage during the February 5 ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Denying the fight rumors, Offset tweeted shortly afterwards, “What tf look like fighting my brother [y’all] n***as is crazy.”

On what would’ve have been Takeoff’s 28th birthday, Offset and Quavo were seen hanging out at a posthumous birthday celebration for their fallen groupmate, leading many to believe that they have squashed their beef.

A week later, on June 25, they reunited onstage for the first time in months to perform Migos’ song “Bad and Boujee” in honor of Takeoff. “Do it for Take!” they shouted, pointing at the screen which morphed from the fiery rocket to a photo of the late rapper as they took the stage at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
