Reneé Rapp appears open to discussing many aspects of her life, but she doesn’t necessarily want everyone to know specifics about who she’s dating.

The Sex Lives of College Girls actress has been open about identifying as bisexual, as well as the complications that come with portraying characters that identify differently from on screen. During an interview last summer with The Cut, Rapp, 24, described feeling the pressure of embodying a gay character while acting on the TV show during its first season, a time when she had a boyfriend in her own life.

Rapp said she has come to feel that she is “in love with everybody at all times.” She hinted at a relationship with a brunette woman during her interview with The Cut but didn’t identify who the person was.

There was further speculation about Rapp’s romantic life last year when she appeared in photos and videos on social media with TikToker Alissa Carrington. During a conversation with People last August, Rapp addressed the added pressure that came with those kinds of posts, though she didn’t mention Carrington by name.

After sharing the posts, “it became a whole thing,” Rapp told People, adding that she had to “deal with the consequences of my own actions of publicly co-signing someone as my partner.”

Seeing online speculation about her love life is something Rapp said she is “trying to figure out how to deal with,” according to People. “It’s definitely something that I struggle with and that will keep me up at night, and also something that I can laugh at some days,” she told the magazine.

At the moment, the singer and actress has plenty of fans following her every move. It’s been five months since she released her debut studio album, Snow Angel. The “Tattoos” singer is also promoting her new movie Mean Girls, an adaptation of the musical based on Tina Fey’s 2004 hit film. Rapp stepped into the role of Regina George (originated by Rachel McAdams), leader of “The Plastics,” in the new movie.
