Selena Gomez Goes Makeup-Free as She Shares Rare Look at Her Natural Curls in New Selfie

After a string of glam appearances, Selena Gomez is showing off her more natural side.

On Tuesday, the Only Murders in the Building star, 31, shared a relatable off-duty selfie to Instagram.

The picture shows Gomez without makeup and embracing her shoulder-length curls, which look tied up in a half-up hairstyle. The Rare Beauty founder also appears to be wearing a simple black shirt.

The “Single Soon” artist didn’t caption the photo, but she did pose with a cute pouty expression.

Gomez doesn’t steer clear of comfort when it comes to her style.

Following her “red hot” carpet appearance at the MTV ceremony on Sept. 12 — which saw an Oscar de la Renta-clad Gomez win a Moon Person trophy for best Afrobeats video alongside her “Calm Down” collaborator Rema — the musician-actress was photographed in shiny gray sweatpants and a gray and white jacket. She still kept her pin-straight hair and smokey glam intact.

The relaxed look was among her three outfits of the night, including the vibrant purple Undone by Kate corset mini dress she wore to a Diddy-hosted afterparty later on in the night.

The starry awards show was all fun for the Emmy-nominated actress until she found out she had quickly become a meme following her reaction to Olivia Rodrigo’s performance, which appeared as if the stage was malfunctioning when pyrotechnics were set off and the set began to collapse.

It was all part of the bit, but Gomez expressed genuine concern and confusion during the Guts singer’s set.

And, when Chris Brown — who was charged with felony assault for getting physically violent with then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 — was announced as a nominee in the best R&B video category, Gomez was caught scrunching up her face in response, which also inspired another unintentional meme.

Gomez — who became the subject of meme-centered conversation in August — then shared a truthful statement on her Instagram Story declaring she no longer wants to be the butt of the joke.

“I will never be a meme again. I’d rather sit still than be dragged for being myself. Much love,” she wrote.
